code.pbaumgarten.com is a browser-based coding platform for school classrooms. This statement explains how we handle personal information. If you have questions, please contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.
We collect the information needed to run the platform: account details (such as username, display name, and school affiliation), the code and files you save in your projects, and records of your activity on the platform (such as exercise results and last active date). We also retain basic security logs to protect accounts from unauthorised access.
We collect only what is necessary for the service to function.
Your information is used to deliver the platform and support classroom learning. Your teacher can see your activity, exercise results, and saved work — that is the purpose of the service. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to this educational service.
Teachers may use an optional AI feature to help create exercises. When this feature is used, only the teacher's own prompt text is sent to the configured AI service. Student data is never shared with any AI service.
Your teachers (within your school) can see your work and progress. Platform administrators have access for the purpose of maintaining the service. We do not sell or share personal information with outside parties.
We take reasonable measures to protect the data we hold. All connections to the platform use HTTPS. No system can guarantee absolute security; in the event of a breach affecting personal information, we will notify those affected.
Data is retained while your school maintains its account with the service. You may request correction or deletion of your data by contacting your teacher or reaching out to us directly.
